This book, as the title implies, “Islamic Transactions and Practices in Finance, Accounting and Takaful”, intended to become an initial attempt to discuss various pertinent issues in Islamic contentions of finance and accounting by placing them together in one book. It consists of a collection of ten separate research work from the Faculty of Economics and Management Sciences at Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin, thus, it deserves its own chapter. The book is divided into three parts; first, Islamic Finance (Chapter 1 to Chapter 3); second, Islamic Accounting and Financial Literacy (Chapter 4 to Chapter 7); and third, Takaful Practices (Chapter 8 to Chapter 9). All in all, chapters in this book review past developments and existing challenges in Islamic finance, accounting and takaful; while exploring fresh thinking on future prospects. It also reflects on issues of practical aspects that the Islamic finance industry encountered over the years. This book will benefit readers in many ways, as a platform to contribute in enriching and integrating the knowledge, as well as in finding new solutions pertaining to the future success of Islamic transactions and practices in Malaysia.
